What we train for
Short, hands-on programs that end in a credential employers recognize and a job interview, not a certificate for the wall.
The region is building: data centers, warehouses, manufacturing, construction. Those jobs need people who can run cable, drive a forklift, work safely on a site, and show up every day. We connect people to the training for those jobs and stand next to them until they're hired.
For people who want to work in recovery itself, we help with the path to becoming a certified peer recovery specialist, and we hire from our own houses.
What Hard Won does
- Finds the right program for you and helps with the application and paperwork.
- Organizes rides to class and to work.
- Gives you a quiet place to study and a laptop if you need one.
- Pays small stipends where we can, so training doesn't mean choosing between class and rent.
- Hosts internships and works the phones to get people hired.
- Being on medication for addiction, like methadone or Suboxone, does not exclude you from anything we do.
